As part of its Super Bowl LVIII coverage, Paramount+ tapped CBS VFX to create visuals for a one-of-a-kind immersive location-based attraction, the “Paramount Expedition Vegas: Journey to the Peak” a 4-minute gondola ride 'up' the Paramount Mountain narrated by Tony Romo and Jim Nance. Nestled within the gondola, enveloped by an immersive panorama, passengers experienced a cinematic experience featuring iconic characters and moments inspired by Paramount+’s most popular series and films.

On this project, I was the lead Unreal Engine environment artist  who created the iconic Paramount Mountains for this animated gondola ride. I took an existing central mountain model, and expanded the mountain range using World Creator 2. I then imported the terrain model into Unreal Engine 5, and created a custom landscape master material that allowed for quick customization and control of the snow amounts and placement. I also created a custom master material that worked with our rock assets, adding snow and automatically adjusting the UV’s based on the meshes size. This allowed us to keep consistent texel density and detail no matter the size of the meshes. I also set dressed the various environments in the scene, along with some help from other artists on the team.. I also set up various animated elements throughout the ride and rendered the final video using Sequencer and the Movie Render Queue.
