



























Science fiction and horror are two of my favorite genres, and I wanted to explore those in an interior environment scene. In particular, the film Alien is one of my biggest creative influences, and I wanted to pay tribute to the USCSS Nostromo while adding my own design sensibilities.
This scene was created using Unreal Engine 4, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, and Substance Designer. I created everything in this scene, including modeling all the assets, creating all textures and materials, and establishing mood through the lighting, VFX, and post-processing. I built a modular kit that included over 100 different meshes that could be swapped and assembled together in various ways to give flexibility and variety to the scene. This allowed me to transition from a tight, narrow corridor to wide, open spaces using the same pieces quickly, and all the pieces snap together in a clean and efficient way.
